CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in FFmpeg’s TensorFlow backend within the libavfilter/dnn_backend_tf.c source file. The issue occurs in the dnn_execute_model_tf() function, where a task object is freed multiple times in certain error-handling paths. This redundant memory deallocation can lead to a double-free condition, potentially causing FFmpeg or any application using it to crash when processing TensorFlow-based DNN models. This results in a denial-of-service scenario but does not allow arbitrary code execution under normal conditions. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: uvc: fix list double add in uvcg_video_pump
A panic can occur if the endpoint becomes disabled and the
uvcg_video_pump adds the request back to the req_free list after it has
already been queued to the endpoint. The endpoint complete will add the
request back to the req_free list. Invalidate the local request handle
once it's been queued.

| A double free bug in packet_set_ring() in net/packet/af_packet.c can be exploited by a local user through crafted syscalls to escalate privileges or deny service. We recommend upgrading kernel past the effected versions or rebuilding past ec6af094ea28f0f2dda1a6a33b14cd57e36a9755 |
| A memory consumption issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in iOS 13.5.1 and iPadOS 13.5.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.5 Supplemental Update, tvOS 13.4.6, watchOS 6.2.6. An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. |
| Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions 2018.011.20038 and earlier, 2017.011.30079 and earlier, and 2015.006.30417 and earlier have a Double Free vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. |
| NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability where an attacker might be able to use a race condition to escalate privileges. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, escalation of privileges, data tampering, denial of service, and information disclosure. |
| Double free vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player before 11.7.700.269 and 11.8.x through 12.0.x before 12.0.0.70 on Windows and Mac OS X and before 11.2.202.341 on Linux, Adobe AIR before 4.0.0.1628 on Android, Adobe AIR SDK before 4.0.0.1628, and Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler before 4.0.0.1628 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified vectors, as exploited in the wild in February 2014. |
| When using a multi-bladed platform with more than one blade, undisclosed traffic can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ath10k: skip ath10k_halt during suspend for driver state RESTARTING
Double free crash is observed when FW recovery(caused by wmi
timeout/crash) is followed by immediate suspend event. The FW recovery
is triggered by ath10k_core_restart() which calls driver clean up via
ath10k_halt(). When the suspend event occurs between the FW recovery,
the restart worker thread is put into frozen state until suspend completes.
The suspend event triggers ath10k_stop() which again triggers ath10k_halt()
The double invocation of ath10k_halt() causes ath10k_htt_rx_free() to be
called twice(Note: ath10k_htt_rx_alloc was not called by restart worker
thread because of its frozen state), causing the crash.
To fix this, during the suspend flow, skip call to ath10k_halt() in
ath10k_stop() when the current driver state is ATH10K_STATE_RESTARTING.
Also, for driver state ATH10K_STATE_RESTARTING, call
ath10k_wait_for_suspend() in ath10k_stop(). This is because call to
ath10k_wait_for_suspend() is skipped later in
[ath10k_halt() > ath10k_core_stop()] for the driver state
ATH10K_STATE_RESTARTING.
The frozen restart worker thread will be cancelled during resume when the
device comes out of suspend.
Below is the crash stack for reference:

| A double free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.6, iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6, watchOS 11.6, tvOS 18.6, visionOS 2.6, macOS Ventura 13.7.7, macOS Sonoma 14.7.7, iPadOS 17.7.9. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination. |
| The Sante PACS Server allows a remote attacker to crash the main thread by sending a crafted HL7 message, causing a denial-of-service condition. The application would require a manual restart and no authentication is required. |
| Within tcpreplay's tcprewrite, a double free vulnerability has been identified in the dlt_linuxsll2_cleanup() function in plugins/dlt_linuxsll2/linuxsll2.c. This vulnerability is triggered when tcpedit_dlt_cleanup() indirectly invokes the cleanup routine multiple times on the same memory region. By supplying a specifically crafted pcap file to the tcprewrite binary, a local attacker can exploit this flaw to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via memory corruption. |
| A double-free condition occurs during the cleanup of temporary image files, which can be exploited to achieve memory corruption and potentially arbitrary code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: mediatek: vcodec: Only free buffer VA that is not NULL
In the MediaTek vcodec driver, while mtk_vcodec_mem_free() is mostly
called only when the buffer to free exists, there are some instances
that didn't do the check and triggered warnings in practice.
We believe those checks were forgotten unintentionally. Add the checks
back to fix the warnings. |
| In OpenBSD 7.5 before errata 008 and OpenBSD 7.4 before errata 021,
avoid possible mbuf double free in NFS client and server implementation, do not use uninitialized variable in error handling of NFS server. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: Handle dml allocation failure to avoid crash
[Why]
In the case where a dml allocation fails for any reason, the
current state's dml contexts would no longer be valid. Then
subsequent calls dc_state_copy_internal would shallow copy
invalid memory and if the new state was released, a double
free would occur.
[How]
Reset dml pointers in new_state to NULL and avoid invalid
pointer

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pinctrl: nuvoton: fix a double free in ma35_pinctrl_dt_node_to_map_func()
'new_map' is allocated using devm_* which takes care of freeing the
allocated data on device removal, call to
.dt_free_map = pinconf_generic_dt_free_map
double frees the map as pinconf_generic_dt_free_map() calls
pinctrl_utils_free_map().
Fix this by using kcalloc() instead of auto-managed devm_kcalloc(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix double free of TCP_Server_Info::hostname
When shutting down the server in cifs_put_tcp_session(), cifsd thread
might be reconnecting to multiple DFS targets before it realizes it
should exit the loop, so @server->hostname can't be freed as long as
cifsd thread isn't done. Otherwise the following can happen:

drm/amd/display: Fix handling of plane refcount
[Why]
The mechanism to backup and restore plane states doesn't maintain
refcount, which can cause issues if the refcount of the plane changes
in between backup and restore operations, such as memory leaks if the
refcount was supposed to go down, or double frees / invalid memory
accesses if the refcount was supposed to go up.
[How]
Cache and re-apply current refcount when restoring plane states. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath12k: fix warning when unbinding
If there is an error during some initialization related to firmware,
the buffers dp->tx_ring[i].tx_status are released.
However this is released again when the device is unbinded (ath12k_pci),
and we get:
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 2098 at mm/slub.c:4689 free_large_kmalloc+0x4d/0x80
Call Trace:
free_large_kmalloc
ath12k_dp_free
ath12k_core_deinit
ath12k_pci_remove
...
The issue is always reproducible from a VM because the MSI addressing
initialization is failing.
In order to fix the issue, just set the buffers to NULL after releasing in
order to avoid the double free. |
